Available Kittens We do not have any kittens of our own breeding available, expected nor even planned (well the idea of repeating the mating between Nyarlathotep and Don Frederico IS tempting, specially if we could pre-order a female :)). Expected Litters elsewhere BlueVanda cattery's Rollick Raised on a Rock (OCI bs 24) is expecting kittens together with Lumo Tezcatlipoca (oci c 24, owner Naomi Johnson). The male is a F3 ocicat, aged about 6 months when the picture was taken. These kittens will have a very nice and unique pedigree, extremely nice tempers and if looking at the parents they should look amazing too! Lumo Tezcatlipoca btw follows his dad PikesPeak Don Frederico -doesn't spary or sing at all, only purrs. With luck his offspring will be a non-spraying type of studs too. Tezcatlipoca's mom is Lumo Nyarlathotep, an F2 female. Assi's parents are BlueNote Kid Creole and Spotcat's Mellow Serenade. The estimated DOB is July 2nd, 2007.

At least silver, tawny, chocolate silver and chocolates are expected, other colors will be unlikely though possible since the female carries about everything. These kittens too will have a rather unique pedigree and are likely to be very nice in quality. Please check Peikkolan website for further information. A Hybrid Line - what does that mean? We are currently using abyssinians to help enlarge ocicat's [in our view] narrow genebase. Though not customary in Scandinavian ocicat breedin, abyssinians have always been an essential part of ocicats right from the start and ie in the US breeders have always used aby within ocicat breeding. The letter F1-F4 mark the distance from recent aby additions. An F1 is out of a "regular" ocicat and an abyssinian; a hybrid which in CFA is registered as an ocicat but in FIFe as a XSH (non-accepted short hair). F2's have an aby grandparent, F3's have one abyssinian greatgrandparent etc. Ocicats usually have hybrids only on one side of their family, though there are exceptions like Keke who's sired by an F2 dad to a F1 mom. There are ocicats with hybrid lineage not commonly mentioned, so not having an F mentioned somewhere doesn't necessarily mean there isn't any close abyblood. Contact Information |
